परतंत्राच्या भयाण रात्री  शिवज्योत उमटली  भयग्रस्त होऊनि गारठलेली रक्ते  धमान्यांत उसळली  अत्याचार सोसूनी  हतप्रभ झाली माती  तव स्पर्शाने तलवार जाहली  गवतांची हि पाती  किती महाभारते पाहिली  इथे द्रवपदीने  तुज काय धाडिले  तिच्याच गोविंदाने?  नवजोमाने उभारली  पुन्हा हि देवस्थाने  आता तुला पूजितो  देवाच्या श्रद्धेने  तू स्वयंप्रकाशी  सूर्य नव्या तेजाचा  दीधलास प्रकाश तू  आम्हा स्वाभिमानाचा 

It all started  When doctor said You have a baby in your tummy I was scared and excited to know that I am going to be a mommy You were growing up inside  Sometimes you even used to kick I enjoyed that every moment  No matter I felt healthy or I felt sick When you were born You looked so naive and so pure God sent me an angel from the heaven I was very very sure I saw my heart playing around  When I saw you jump and play I have loved many people before you But I have never loved this way Our relationship is ever growing  While the life is sweet and sour But there is one promise I want to make I will always love you forever

One more year added to the book of life one more year of gratitude grateful for the rising sun for shining moon for changing seasons for many reasons that make life meaningful     grateful for health for the friendship's wealth for the oasis called family for the freedom to be silly   grateful for the ability to work for kids' smiles that comes as a perk for the ancient love that is suddenly found for the realization that this small world is round   grateful for the lessons at the school called life grateful for the chills felt now and then in spine whenever I have felt the connection with the divine
