Mind

I am like the Soil you think you bury thoughts in me but the thoughts are like seeds they will grow eventually so make sure that the seeds are good.   I am like the  Water I do not have color of my own you add colors of your emotions to me so make sure that you chose all bright ones.   I am like the Sky I am deep and have lots of secrets hidden within me you might find so many jewels in me  so make sure  that you keep exploring my strengths   I am like the Fire I can be used both to burn and to light I can be used to get both warmth or burns so make sure that you use me wisely   I am like the  Wind I am hardly at rest but if you find a way to use me I can easily knock down any big obstacle so make sure that you keep me steady and strong   I can create the whole world in myself I can also change the whole world around you so make sure that y...

Beautiful Mind

That day I was thinking about this movie called "A Beautiful Mind". As many of you might already know, this is a story of a scholar man who eventually develops paranoid schizophrenia. The movie takes us through his journey of disease and how he fights with it with  the help of medications, family and friends. Further, he uses his strengths and eventually wins the most prestigious Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics . The movie is a biographic drama based on life of John Nash.   I always feel impressed looking at his life story. He definitely had "atypical" mind. It could have lasted in a life long misery but he used this "atypical" mind and achieved something which is not "typically" achieved by many.   Mind indeed is a mysterious and beautiful thing. In Hinduism and Buddhism, mind is called another sense organ. It interacts or deals with feelings and perception. Many poets and writers write about how difficult it is to control. When it c...

She wants you to know

She wants you to know that her thoughts have grown modern  her horizons have broadened so you need to grow up and broaden your thinking She wants you to know that she chose you for many reasons but she loves you for no particular rational and you are special to her She wants you to know that she has many roles to play just like you she gets affected by good and bad times just like you and she thrives on appreciation just like you She wants you to know that she fights with you because at times she gets stressed out and weakened  not because she thinks you are her enemy she needs help at such times and not the show of power She wants you to know that at times she gets busy caring for the family of you both and she does not mean to ignore you She wants you to know that she has abundant potential, readiness to learn  and some love can make a whole lot of difference She wants you to know that do not walk in front of her ...

Learn from a tea bag not from sugar

One of my friends was getting married and we were at her wedding shower. My friend asked every one who were married in the group, "Give me some marriage advise. What are some dos and don'ts?" Every one started talking in turns. Many people gave her valuable suggestions like "Life is not a bed of roses. be prepared for ups and downs." , " put your ego aside when it comes to relationships.", " you are getting married to a man and also being a part of his family. Respect that and be caring for his family.", "Togetherness is more important than anything else. You can fight difficult times easily if you both stick together." and so on.   I was thinking what advise can I give her? Life and relationships are the ongoing learning processes and also huge learning institutions. I don't think even a senior person who is married for 50 or so years can give any absolute advise for marriage. Every one has their own temperaments and thei...

Thank You

Once I was little  My mom taught me then " it's a golden word. It's nice to say Thank you"  But then I became a grown up So I wanted more And I forgot how to say Thank you I graduated in the best career I was second highest in the university But I wanted to be the first And I forgot to say Thank you I worked in a good job I earned enough living But I wanted to be richer And I forgot to say Thank you I had a wonderful family We saw ups and downs together But I wanted a smoother ride And I forgot to say Thank you I had a healthy body With just few complaints here and there But I wanted to look like a star And I forgot to say Thank you Now it's time to say goodbye Lying on my bed I know I failed to show gratitude But I realize it at least now It's never late to say Thank you.
