If you have been to India you know this

India recently celebrated its 70th independence day. It is always a proud moment. There are not enough words to tell how grateful I feel for being born in such a great country.
India definitely has innumerable things to offer to the world. Like many people in the world already know that India has spirituality to offer to the world. But if you have been to India, you know that spirituality in India is a way of living. You do not have to visit any ashram to feel or learn the spirituality in India, just being there is enough. Here are few things you realize when you visit India-
1) Life is beautiful with your family and the whole world is your family- No matter if you are a part of nuclear or joint family, you are connected to each other. Just getting together for any occasion or even without any occasion is like a party. It's true that at times this kind of closeness can be interfering but it is still cherished. Neighbors, school friends, office friends, local train friends and even the strangers can talk for hours without feeling insecure.
2) We can coexist- You travel in India anywhere and just after every 50 miles, you see a lot of variation in language, culture, cuisine etc. There are so many religions staying together happily for years. Of course there are clashes every now and then but they still coexist. The differences are not only tolerated but also celebrated at many places here.
3) There is a space for every one- India is also known for being overly populated. Still there is a space for every one in local trains, streets, carnivals, weddings, holly places and in people's heart I guess.
4) Flexibility is a key for comfort- When you travel on the street here you realize that life is full of possibilities. Accepting the unexpected and being flexible is the only way to go through it.
5) Your socioeconomic status and ability to enjoy life are two different things- If you have visited the streets here during festivities, you know that enjoying life is not related to how rich/poor you are. If you have the right spirit, you can enjoy the life to its fullest!
I am lucky enough to witness this. In this rapidly changing world of technology where taking selfie has become more important than enjoying the very moment, if one remembers these things which India teaches us then life will be still beautiful I guess.
