Funny thing about my mind

There is a funny thing about my mind

It is my biggest enemy 

but then it is also my best friend

It makes me worried over small small matters

but then it also gives me the confidence I need 

to carry out most difficult tasks. 

It is my mind which keeps me distracted from my goals

but it also reminds me not to lose focus from my tasks

during most disturbing situations.

My mind makes me depressed over the spilled milk

it also teaches me to look closely for

the silver lining between the dark clouds.

It tells me the glass is half empty 

It shows me the glass is half full

It makes me cry

It makes me laugh

My mind gets me so occupied in meaningless everyday rut  

that I forget to have a conversation with it

but then it brings me back to look inside itself

and to find the meaning of being me. 

There is a real funny thing about my mind

It is the cause of all actions 

and it is the action itself

It is the emotions going wild 

and it is the controller itself.
